NBC’s “smashing” musical drama Smash is dancing it’s way to an all new season and several roles are available for aspiring performers. Smash follows the behind the scenes lives of crew of a Broadway musical. The drama is fast and furious behind the curtain and beneath the stage for the producers,writers, choreographers and actors of the fictional musical Bombshell, based on the life and times of the iconic Marylin Monroe. Song, dance, love and betrayal are portrayed both on the stage and in the personal lives of this diverse group of theater professionals. Smash is produced by film and televison legend Steven Spielberg and its cast is peppered with such amazing acting talents as Debra Messing (Will & Grace, Along Came Polly), Academy Award Winner Anjelica Huston (The Addams Family, 50/50), American Idol’s Katharine McPhee (The House Bunny, Peace, Love, & Misunderstanding), Megan Hilty (Bitter Feast, What Happens Next) and Jack Davenport (Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl, Pirate Radio). This no other series on television that combines fabulous musical numbers with gripping dramatic performances.
