ABC Family, the splendid family friendly network behind such critical and commercial hits as The Secret Life Of An American Teenager, Bunheads and Pretty Little Liars is preparing production for what is believed to be their next great success and they are partnering with one of entertainments biggest talents to bring it to living rooms everywhere. The Fosters from executive producer by Jennifer Lopez has been picked up for series and casting calls and auditions for the exciting family drama will be held soon for several roles.
The Fosters will follow ABC Family’s well honed model of gripping, heartfelt and emotional stories of “unconventional” families. The series will follow a loving couple and their unique home life that includes a mixture of their biological children and a group of foster children of multiple races. The program will take head on society’s  idea of what a traditional family can and should be and depict the normal ups and downs that every family goes through from week to week. The Fosters will be helmed by the talented writing and producing duo of Peter Paige and Brad Bredeweg and led by Ms. Lopez through her Nuyorican production company. I love this show a lot because the meaning of this show has touched me so much not even words can explain and I have been through a lot also in my everyday life so I think I would really fit well into this show. Outside of school in 2012, Iâve participated in a very well known annual production called, âMAAFAâ. A Kiswahili term for âterrible occurrenceâ or âgreat disasterâ. It refers to the Black Holocaust when millions of Africans died during the journey of captivity from the west coast of Africa to the shores of America, known as the middle passage. It is a remembrance of the thousands of African Americans lynched and murdered before and after the end of enslavement.
On May 25th of this year, I performed in an Off-Broadway production called âFifteen and Grownâ, written, produced, and directed by PDMâs Performing Arts CEO/Founder and executive director, Trevi Pershay.
